The beginnings of Australasian Lawrence Aged Care Pty Ltd
Australasian Lawrence Aged Care College Pty Ltd (ALACC) was officially established as an incorporated Company in November 2006 and became a Registered Training Organisation in January 2007 and achieved its CRICOS registration in May 2008.  This company was founded by Janet Lawrence who is currently Chief Executive Officer and Director of Studies and is also a Director of Nursing of a Residential Aged Care facility.

Prior to November 2006 the current Director of the company, Janet Lawrence had been operating as a teaching company since May 1996 under the auspicious name of ‘’Professional Development Consultants’.  In the year 2000 ‘Lawrence Aged Care’ a Teaching and Consultancy Company was established and still exits.  Janet however, felt that Lawrence Aged Care Company needed to extend its services not only to the local market but to the international student arena.  Hence, Australasian Lawrence Aged Care College was established.  While the parent Lawrence Aged Care College continues to remain a Consultancy company, providing consultancy services to aged such as Director of Nursing services, community and commonwealth services as an Administrator and Advisor to aged care facilities.

Janet responded to the ever increase demand for people from Non-English background and new migrants request to work in aged and community care.  Where such people were not given the opportunity to explore and grow in this area, Janet decided she was going to help them.  In the first year of providing education and training students had the advantaged on free training.  Today students pay less than their counter parts to undertake the same training elsewhere.

As Australasian Lawrence Aged Care College was growing it was necessary to move out of Northcote and provide training at a larger facility, yet manageable at Preston.
