Headmasters was founded to help raise the standard of skills and service in the Hairdressing and Beauty industry. The salon industry immediately embraced Headmasters, sending apprentices to undertake their training. Headmasters soon became the largest private provider of Hairdressing training in Australia.

Headmasters was founded by Donna and Wayne Gannon to help raise the standard of skills and service in the Hairdressing and Beauty industry. Donna and Wayne have been leaders in the Hairdressing and Beauty industry for over 4 decades. They have owned successful salons, distributed products and represented the Hairdressing and Beauty industry both Nationally and Internationally. In 1992 Wayne was awarded the Medal of Honour by La Confederation Internationale de La Coiffure, this is the highest International Award in the Hairdressing industry.

Many of Melbourne’s leading salons rely on the skills and expertise of Headmasters to bring out and develop the talent of their future leading stylists and Beauty/Day Spa therapists.

It is our aim to make sure our students not only qualify highly skilled and with an enthusiastic attitude but just as importantly that they enjoy the journey. HEADMASTERS HAS A 2ND CAMPUS
LOCATED IN CLAYTON!

At Headmasters, we are committed to providing you with 5 star service, flexibility and choice. And with growing student numbers and our dedication to keeping classes small and personal, we decided it was time to open our second campus!
The new campus, located in Clayton, can house up to 70 students and features a state of the art hairdressing salon and teaching facilities. Originally opening back in February 2008 as a Headmasters salon, the campus now has CRICOS approval, meaning that students can enrol and study there course their full time, without needing to attend the city college.
Clayton is located just a 30 minute train ride from Melbourne’s CBD. The suburb is a vibrant and multicultural melting pot filled with many different nationalities. Close to supermarkets, medical centres, cinemas and major shopping centres, Clayton is one of the fastest growing communities in Victoria.
Students planning to live in suburbs close to the Clayton campus will find travelling to the college is easier, faster and cheaper than commuting to the City Campus. Suburbs near Clayton include:
- Oakleigh
- Dandenong
- Springvale
- Noble Park

In addition, these suburbs all have public transport running along the same line as Clayton. The campus itself is just a 3-4 minute walk from the train station.
If a student wishes to enrol at the Clayton campus, simply indicate this on the application form. Enrolments are currently being accepted for all intakes for Certificate III in Hairdressing only.
