Selmar Institute of Education (ABN 31 111 455451) was established as a private National Registered Training Organisation (RTO #21531) in 2004. SELMAR Institute of Education commenced trading as Vitreous, on day one with its biggest multinational client, FOXTEL, having won a tender to provide training to their call centre.

Selmar Institute of Education’s founder and CEO, Marcus Sellen, coined a new standard in the delivery of workplace training leading to the rapid growth of the company to today.

In December 2007 Vitreous commenced its expansion to becoming SELMAR Institute of Education for students from overseas. This was achieved by gaining accreditation under the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS – Provider #02821B).

Today we have state-of-theart facilities that offer our students a modern day learning environment equivalent to current industry workplaces.

Today Selmar Institute of Education offers the next benchmark in education to both local and international students through Australian Nationally Recognised Qualifications and NEAS accredited English courses. Our teaching staff have extensive current industry experience ensuring that our students remain sought after in the workforce after completing their learning journey with us.

Location

Our campus is conveniently located in St Kilda and its central location has great public transport 5 minute walk from St Kilda tram junction, a bus stop almost at the door, and an easy 10 minute walk from Windsor train station.

Selmar Institute of Education is nestled between Alma Park and the Albert Park, which is located in St Kilda, the picturesque and most fashionable icon in Melbourne City. Our campus is located in close proximity to the famous Acland St restaurants and cafés, safe sandy beaches, music venues and the Melbourne city offering students an experience of a life time.

Our campus is a modern three storey building offering spacious modern, air-conditioned classrooms that will ensure your comfort whilst enjoying your learning experience.

Level one offers the first student breakout area for your comfort with sofas and tables and chairs, whilst preparing something to eat in the fitted out kitchen.

On this level is also a full suite of classrooms, and several meeting rooms.

Level two is where you will find a spacious and welcoming reception area where all of your questions will be answered by our friendly student services team.

Level two also offers a second breakout area, fully fitted with table and chairs, lounge sofas. Also in the breakout area is a fully fitted kitchen.

The proudest part of level two for the Selmar Institute of Education team is the Nursing and Childcare simulated laboratories that are set up with all of the state of the art equipment used in current childcare, aged care and nursing environments.

Level two will shortly offer an amazing outdoor decking area on that allows students to enjoy the Australian sun with views of the city skyline.
